I made the Mr. GMO animation last year for an agency but never knew what it was going to be used for. Just stumbled upon it online! It is for Unreal, a company making candy with all natural ingredients. Check it out!
OMFG series 3 on Kickstarter!
Hello peoples!
I am here today to talk to you about toys, because they are serious business.
There is a small, artist-driven toy line that I am a fan of called Outlandish Mini Figure Guys!, or OMFG!. It is produced a small company called October Toys.
This toy line was created by the toy fans and artists on the October Toys’ forums. Inspired by the MUSCLE, Monsters in my Pocket, and other kooky mini-figure lines of the past, forum members decided to try making a similar toy line using Kickstarter’s crowd funding to pay for the initial production costs. Learn more about OMFG! here: OMFG! (Outlandish Mini Figure Guys!) – October Toys
How it works: People on the message board design and/or sculpt characters (alone or in collaboration) and then vote on those characters. The top 5 then get final sculpting and the series is put on Kickstarter. Kickstarter uses preorders for product and other awards to fund the initial tooling and manufacturing cost for overseas production. If the funding goal is met then backers are charged.
October Toys then handles the mass production using the funding and handles distribution of all awards and product.
The first and second series were a success and are available in multiple colors and exclusives (“Flesh” is the basic color, with other colors being available as retailer and other exclusives). But more importantly, series 3 is now on Kickstarter and needs funding!
What’s special about this series 3 you say? I designed one of the toys! I was asked to draw TenCan based on Richard Brown’s idea, and Bryan Fulk sculpted it based on my artwork. It got voted in the top 5 and with a successful Kickstarter campaign it will be produced!
If you are interested in buying toys (TOYS!), buying through Kickstarter not only funds and makes the initial production possible, but it is also the cheapest way to get a set.
Planned for an October release, all orders placed though Kickstarter get free shipping within the US! $10 will get you a set of the “flesh” color which is the basic release. $15 gets a black set, which is exclusive to Kickstarter supporters. Also, after the initial release many small and large online shops will offer their own exclusive color sets.
The Kickstarter campaign ends Friday Apr 19, at 6:00am EDT. If you aren’t interested in owning toys, you can also donate $1 (or any amount) just to help fund the project. Thanks for taking the time to look and feel free to share this with anyone you think might be interested.

OMFG Series 3 character selection voting is open.
The voting is now open for the character selection for October Toy’s ‘Outlandish Mini Figure Guys’ series 3 toy line!
You can vote for your 5 favorite designs on the forums here: OMFG Series 3 – The Voting Thread – VOTING ENDS Sept 29th
The top 5 designs will be produced as toys!
I have 3 designs in there. #94, Coughin’ Coffin, and #96, Underbed, are my original characters. Coughin’ Coffin has been sculpted by Ed Gein and he will be sculpt Underbed as well if the character is selected. I also had a hand in designing #125, Ten-Can. The character concept was by Richard Oceans, I did the design drawing, and Ed Gein sculpted the prototype.
Please vote for designs you want to buy and support the line!

Mystery Gift Machine
A new animation has been uploaded. It is a short commercial I did for Mystery Gift Machine. Visit them at www.mysterygiftmachine.com
It was a lot of fun to work on. I designed their robot mascot as well.

Mr. GMO
Just wrapped up a freelance project last week for Genuine Interactive Inc. It was a fun bit of animation to work on and I would love to work with them again. I’m not sure who their client is or what this video is for, but it is pretty amusing. Check it out here (Mr. GMO) or click on “Mr. GMO” under the “animation” drop down menu.

new animation added
Updated the ‘animation’ section with a new promo video I created for a new company called Turly Tag. Turly Tag is a service that facilitates the retrieval of lost items, making it easier for finders to return items to owners while still keeping everything safe and anonymous. Please check out the company’s website here.
